Prevention
If you have nutrition deficiency anemia, consume a diet rich in vitamin B12, folic acid and iron.  Foods that are rich in iron include meat, eggs, beans, lentils and leafy green vegetables. Consuming foods high in vitamin C such as citrus fruits which can boost absorption of non-heme iron (derived from vegetarian sources).  Meat and dairy products are good sources of vitamin B12, while fruits, green vegetables and legumes supply folic acid.
